Our family biked here this weekend and loved it. Very pretty creek and woods area. The trail has lots of benches to rest on and no one else on the trail seemed bothered by our slow caravan of bikers ¿
This trail was awesome. So much beauty throughout between the trees and the lake. Well paved. There is a $7 fee to get in the park but it is well worth it!
We are not from the area, but are familiar with the rails to trails system.
Found the trail head after we gave up and just started from the park. It was a Saturday and the park was busy but 4 sets of eyes in and out of the car never found any signage about where the trailhead was located.
Trail was in good condition, pleasant views and challenging at times but not impossible (for senior ;-) weekend riders). New section is very well done.
What was challenging was the lack of signage at critical turns, which made for an extra 2+ miles of hills that were walked by some. We all agreed it would be a fun trail to ride again but only because we know the route.
We walk or ride this trail all the time, love the farmland on both sides of the trail near Ellettsville with the creek is very picturesque. It's a peaceful getaway during a busy day.
This is our family’s favorite trail to ride! A great mixture of scenery with plenty of shade, and areas with sunshine to.
My husband and I rode this trail on August 6. We loved it! It was very peaceful!
Even though it is basically an in-town trail, it is surprisingly scenic. Quiet, shady sections, not too many cross streets, even passes some farm fields. An easy and pleasant ride on paved surfaces, 16 miles there and back end to end.
We enjoyed biking this paved bike path in Jasper. It is not a fast ride, but a chance to take a break while traveling through Indiana. The City of Jasper has set aside a valuable recreation area in acreage that could just be wasted area. The trail is multiple use when many access points for residents. Midway, we biked 3 blocks to the Schnitzelbank restaurant and joined the lunch crowd for authentic German food with leftovers. The board walks are a bit tight to navigated, but maybe walking bikes across and enjoying nature is a better use of the bridge. maybewalkibikes across and
Have ridden this trail several times recently. Lots of shade, mainly flat and very safe. A great quick ride with nice scenery.
There aren’t a lot of paved bike trail options in the Dubois county area, so this one is nice to have available. The older section is scenic, and the newer section adds some mileage for a good out and back ride. One short steep hill but very easy otherwise. Watch out for traffic crossings.
My wife and I walk this trail several times a week and love it! It is mostly shaded and is a great place for walking, running, or riding a bike. It is a beautiful area, and very enjoyable.
